About Us

Congratulations Judy!!!!!!!!!!!!    You've finally taken the plunge.  Retiring from the city of Stratford June 30, 2010.

Welcome to the home of our Cotons! They have been generous enough to share with Judy and I. Feel free to browse through our site. This site is dedicated to our puppies and their owners and a pictorial of our dogs.

We have been involved with raising dogs for the last 14 years. We started out with a couple of Bichons. Found the Cotons and now we are raising Cotons .
It is full time job it's not a part time thing where you work and look after dogs they require all of your attention to do the job properly. Our puppies are home raised and are attended to 24/7. We try to start the puppy on potty training and give you a head start but they are by no means trained when you get the puppy at 8 weeks.

A lot of our time is taken up interviewing people to determine whether or not they can provide the home that we require for our puppies.

In the dog world there are two positions, leader and follower. The pup will become the leader if you let it so basically they will train you to do its bidding.

We ask that you are actively looking for a puppy and not just coming out to see what they look like in person. We are located SW of St. Marys and north of London.

If you are interested in a puppy and want to know availability you can contact us at the phone number and email listed on the left side of the page.

Yours a waggin, John & Judy Chapman

A Breeder

I love my little puppy; he makes my house a home.
He is my sweetest little friend; I never feel alone.
He makes me smile; he makes me laugh; he fills my heart with love . . .
Did some person breed him, or did he fall from Heaven above?

I've never been a breeder, nor seen life through their eyes;
I hold my little puppy and just sit and criticize.
I've never known their anguish; I've never felt their pain,
the caring of their trials, through snow or wind or rain.

I've never waited the whole night through for puppies to be born,
The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by morn.
The weight of responsibility for this body in my hands,
This darling little tiny pup, who weighs all of 60 grams.

Should you do that instead of this . . .  or maybe that was wrong?
Alone you fight and hope, one day, he'll grow up proud and strong.
You pray he'll live to bring great joy to someone else's home.
You know it's solely up to you; you'll fight this one alone.

Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right,
Two-hour feedings for this tiny one, throughout the day and night.
Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this feat,
To save this little tiny pup, but God willing . . . death you'll cheat.

Day one; he's in there fighting; you say a silent prayer.
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five he's still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens.
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.

You take this little angel, and bury him alone.
With aching heart and burning tears, and many exhausted groans,
You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why suffer through this pain?"
Then watch the joy your puppies bring, then everything's explained.

So, when you think of breeders and label them with "Greed,"

Think of all that they endure to fill another's need.
For when you buy a puppy, with your precious dollars part,
Remember... You only paid with money, while breeders paid with all their heart.
